Pencils with erasers? - 2020.03.30

"Life is about using the whole box of crayons."

Today in History (March 30)

Pencil with eraser is patented:
Now... who does not like the convenience of having an eraser on the back end of their pencil?  This clever invention was patented on March 30, 1858 by Hymen Lipman of Philadelphia.  Who would have thought that an invention created over 160 years ago would be still so popular with young and old alike.  So, when you use your pencil today, just imagine that you are holding in your hand an idea that came about 160+ years ago.

Fun Fact: Roald Dahl (author of BFG, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and countless other books) used only pencils with yellow casings to write his books. He began each day with six sharpened pencils and only when all six became unusable did he resharpen them.

Walk in Faith - Quote of the Day (Romans 6:18)
"Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."

When I try to do something, I often fail.  Trying is not enough, for I must believe in my heart that I can succeed.  Belief is a superpower given to us from a God who knows that by putting our utmost faith in him, we can achieve anything we set our minds and heart to.
